BMW 3 Series

The BMW 3 Series was first released to the public in May of 1975 by BMW. It has been in production since then and has become one of the most popular BMW Series in the company’s storied history. The popularity of this Series is evident in the fact that it is the company’s best selling automobile. It accounted for almost 40% sales as for 2005.

The BMW 3 Series is manufactured in Leipzig, Germany; Munich, Germany; Regensburg, Germany; Rosslyn, South Africa; Cairo, Egypt; Kaliningrad, Russia and Shenyang, China. The 3 Series is also known for its racing with the M3.

The BMW 3 Series is divided into these categories:

  • BMW E21 (1975-1983) 3 Series
  • BMW E30 (1984-1994) 3 Series
  • BMW E36 (1992-1998) 3 Series
  • BMW E46 (1999-2006) 3 Series
  • BMW E90 (2005-) 3 Series Sedan
  • BMW E91 (2006-) 3 Series Touring
  • BMW E92 (2007-) 3 Series Coupe
  • BMW E93 (2007-) 3 Series Convertible

The BMW 3 Series is the most common of the BMW vehicles on the road today, whether they are the original models or some of the newer models, the BMW 3 Series offers drivers some of the best features in Coupes, Convertibles, Sedans and Sports Wagons.

The models available are the 328i Coupe, the 328i xDrive Coupe, the 335i Coupe, the 335i xDrive Coupe, the 328i Convertible, the 335i Convertible, the 328i Sedan, the 328i xDrive Sedan, the 335i Sedan, the 335i xDrive Sedan, the 335d Sedan, the 328i Sports Wagon and the 328i xDrive Sports Wagon.

The 335d Sedan is the newest member of the BMW 3 Series and it starts at $43,900. This model runs on diesel and gets roughly 36 miles per gallon on the highway.
