Formula BMW Racing Schedule

Formula BMW announced a couple of weeks ago that Michael Lewis, of Laguna Beach, has joined their Eurointernational team in the Formula BMW Americas Championship. The race schedule began on March 20 and ended yesterday, the 22nd. The first races took place in Puebla, Mexico. Lewis participated in these races and will take part in the remainder of the scheduled races for Eurointernational.

The rest of the schedule looks like this:

April 24-26 at the Virginia International Raceway

May 15-17 at the Miller Motorsports Park

July 17-18 at the Lime Rock Park

August 14-16 at the Road America

August 28-30 at the Mosport

Lewis is a veteran of the kart series and is joining an incredibly successful driving force with BMW Eurointernational. The Eurointernational team has won six team and driver international championships in the United States and Europe over the previous seven years.

BMW Eurointernational has won 66 times, has posted 140 podiums, and has posted 66 poles to become one of the most elite racing corporations across the world.

Eurointernational team owner Antonio Ferrari had the following to say about Lewis joining the team:

“We have just completed our preseason tests in FBMA Americas and Michael has shown continuing progress in his lap time and consistency. A natural talent combined with a very professional and dedicated approach has put Michael already on top of the times and as the fastest rookie during the recent first collective FBMW Americas test at Palm Beach International Raceway,”

The races held at the Palm Beach International Raceway were held from February 16 through the 17.
